2020-2021 Most Valuable Teacher of the Month (MVT)

Our Most Valuable Teacher of the Month presented by WGU Ohio recognizes outstanding teachers in Canton, Ohio (Stark County) who have made a positive impact in the classroom, in the school and in their community. From the months of November to May, a panel of Charge staff will select one teacher each month as the Canton Charge MVT of the Month.  The Teacher of the Month will receive 4 tickets to a future Charge game, access to our premium courtside club and in-game recognition, a banner for their school or classroom, and $50 gift card. The students of the Teacher of the Month will receive ticket vouchers to an upcoming Charge game as well. A visit will be made to the school by Pozzie, where he will provide the MVT of the Month with a recognition certificate while mingling with students and staff.

Eligible teachers must be nominated by students, parents, administrators or peers. Nomination forms will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Nomination forms must be filled out completely. The following criteria should be considered when nominating the Most Valuable Teacher of the Month:

  • The Teacher takes an interest in the students’ academics and extracurricular activities
  • The Teacher volunteers his/her time in their community and school
  • The Teacher is a positive impact and role model for their students
