Charge Add Two Players

The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, have acquired guard John Holland (6-3, 195, Boston Univeristy) and center Jon Horford (6-10, 245, Florida) from the available player pool and waived guard JerShon Cobb, the team announced today.

Holland, 27, played four seasons at Boston University from 2007-2011.  In 129 career games for the Terriers, he averaged 17.1 points on .434 shooting with 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 34.2 minutes per game.  He has been playing professionally overseas throughout the past four seasons in France, Spain, and Turkey.

Horford, 24, played collegiately at the University of Michigan from 2010-2014 before transferring to the University of Florida for his final year of eligibility in 2014-2015.  He played in 31 games for the Gators during his Senior season and averaged 6.5 points on .484 shooting with 4.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 20.0 minutes per game.

Cobb played in eight games for Canton and averaged 4.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 14.5 minutes per game.  The Charge roster now stands at 13, with 10 active players, C.J. Wilcox on assignment from the Clippers, and two inactive players.  Both Holland and Horford will be active for tonight’s game in Grand Rapids.
